The Future of Sport in Further Education - study findings
Prospects4Sport have now completed the most comprehensive study ever undertaken into sport in the Further Education sector.
The report was published March 1, 2010 and contains information on the state of sport in the sector, the roles and responsibilities of a range of organisations, and a recommended way forward and future management structure.
The Association of Colleges and Sport England, who commissioned the study, have endorsed the report and are now working to put in place an implementation plan to enable the recommended changes to take effect.
The report recommends a new governance structure for sports specific planning, inter-college groups for curriculum planning, and an increased focus on cross college initiatives promoting physical activity and health for all students and staff.
"Thank you very much for all the work that you have put into this report. The presentation .. was excellent. It gave a clear account for everyone ... - you did a great job to get so much information across in such a short time and in a really understandable and cohesive way"
Rachel Graham - Sport England, Head of Higher and Further Education
