Exploring good practice

The Youth Sports Trust has asked Prospects4Sport to produce 6 case studies relating to change management within School Sports Associations.

The work of Competition Managers is often challenging, with new programmes meeting traditional structures and long standing competitions being run by School Sports Associations. We are currently working in six areas to examine how the Competition Managers have worked with School Sports Associations in their area to introduce new ways of working.

The areas being studied are: Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Leeds, Hampshire, Bedfordshire, and Buckinghamshire.  The study will examine how the process of change has been managed and provide recommendations for Competition Managers working with SSAs in other areas.

Prospects4Sport were involved in the original project to reform the Leicestershire School Sports Federation in 2006.
