Professional Qualification in Facilitation

Why are there professional qualifications and masters degrees for "management", "coaching", but nothing for "facilitation" as a core management skill? 

Soon there will be - we are delighted to be working in partnership with Leeds Metropolitan University and a group of experienced practitioners to create an 'academic pathway' to a Professional Qualification in Facilitation.  This pathway will incorporate a range of components, from a basic Learning Contract (worth 20 points) to a Masters level qualification (180 points).
The team is now developing the curriculum and looking at market sectors which may like to gain the Professional Qualification in Facilitation.  A simple route to accreditation will soon be available through the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), using some of the course materials developed by the group.
