Volleyball - Working together Regionally
Prospects4Sport has been engaged by Volleyball England to help support and develop volleyball in the Regions. This consists of supporting the development of regional strategies for volleyball development which balance national objectives with local priorities, including a series of Regional roadshow events to begin this process.
Support includes: • identifying current activity within the region • exploring the gaps in provision and priority areas for development • exploring working relationships; and • helping regional representatives to understand the role of CSPs, LAs, HE/FE and other partners and how the voluntary network can benefit from increased links with those agencies. This work builds upon our relationship with Volleyball England following the report produced by in 2009 to support engagement with CSPs and planning for delivery in England. This report has been used to help Volleyball England move forward with prioritising the geographical areas where they can help to implement their plan. The regional planning process will help Volleyball England, the regional commissions and associations and its member s and volunteers to work together more effectively to further develop the sport locally and help achieve targets set out in the Whole Sport Plan.
